The priory gardens in Locmaria

Discover the Priory Gardens in Locmaria (awarded the title "remarkable garden") just 30 minutes from the Kereven estate.

Located along the river Odet, near the priory and the HB Henriot pottery, the priory garden was created in 1997 in the vein of a conventual garden from Anne de Bretagne's era (1477 - 1514).  Before the introduction of plants originating from America like corn, potatoes, tomatoes or Asian products such as rice and citrus fruits, the population resorted to vegetal produce from Europe for food, medication and clothing.
